You will receive an email notification when an order is placed on your shopping cart. When you are ready to process the orders in AIMsi, you will go into the active-e Import E-Commerce Orders program.

Clicking the Cart Orders button will pull the orders into AIMsi. The grid on the left will display all the orders that need to be processed. Here you can see the billing and shipping address of the customer. When you are ready to process the order click the Lock button. This locks this order so that two people on separate workstations do not end up processing the same order at the same time. If the customer is a past customer from your shopping cart, the order will already be linked to the correct customer in AIMsi. If you think this customer is already in your AIMsi database, you can search for the customer using the Find Cust button. If it is a new customer click the Create Cust button to automatically create the customer record in AIMsi.
Clicking the Create Order button will feed the order directly into to the AIMsi special order process. Depending on your setup defaults, the Order Program can be displayed with the line items that the customer purchased. Depending on your settings in stock product can automatically be flagged as picked. Your shopping cart order will follow the normal order process that you are already used to. If the product is in stock and the order is picked it can be invoiced at any time. In fact there is even a setting that will automatically pull the order into the invoice at this point if the items are in stock.
You have two options for charging the customer’s credit card. You can have it setup so the shopping cart charges the card during the checkout process, or you can pull the credit card information into AIMsi and use your PCCHarge interface the charge the card. The shopping cart handles several other payment methods including e-checks, PayPal, MicroPay, COD and Check by Mail. The shopping cart also works with most Payment Gateways.
The act of creating the order in AIMsi can automatically create information that UPS or Fed-ex shipping software can access. UPS and Fed-ex can also provide the shipping amount and tracking info back to AIMsi. If you are using the UPS or Fed-ex integration, you can enter the AIMsi order number in UPS/Fed-ex and it will pull in the order shipping information. See AIMsiWorldShip.doc for additional information on this.
